Start Lowell’s harvest celebration out on a full stomach! Lowell FFA members and the Wittenbach Wege Center are hosting a pancake breakfast to help fund the plant, animal, and natural resource science projects that take place at the WWC facility. The Michigan Apple Industry will be highlighted with an apple tasting as well. The WWC facilities and gardens will be open with guided tours upon request. Pancake Breakfast 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM – includes pancakes, syrup or WWC honey, sausage, orange juice, and coffee! Apple Tasting – 9:00-Noon. Cost: $5/person. Wittenbach Wege Center, 616-987-2565. Harvest Hustle – Race Day Registration at 7:30 am * Race Begins at 8:30 am
The race begins at 8:30 AM. Packet pickup options: Friday, October 7, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Ivy Rehab, 2050 W Main Street, Suite 500, Lowell MI 49331, or the day of the race from 7:30 AM -8:15 AM at the race location.
Join Lowell Community Wellness for the Harvest Hustle 5k. This is a family friendly race/walk, no age restrictions. The focus of this event is to encourage families to lead healthy and active lives together. There is no better way to kick off a weekend of celebration than with a little exercise. So, lace up your shoes, wear your favorite costume, and get ready for the Harvest Hustle 5K Run/Walk. Any fitness level can attend just be sure to check with your physician before starting any new activity. Location: Garage side entrance of the Lowell Police Department, 300 Avery Street, Lowell MI 49331. Race begins and ends there. Autumn Marketplace On Main Street & Riverwalk Plaza in Historic Downtown Lowell 10:00am to 4:00pm

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through beautiful, historic Lowell and explore the Autumn Marketplace on Main. You’ll find a bountiful gathering of crafts, antiques, repurposed treasures, home-grown food, concessions and great restaurants. Plenty of free parking and lots of fun!

To conclude Public Power Week, join Lowell Light and Power on the Riverwalk for Pumpkin Decorating (pumpkins generously donated by Heidi’s Farmstand). Plus, customers can Enter to Win a Bill Credit (one entry per address). Lowell Light & Power customers should also stop by the LL&P office the week leading up to Harvest Celebration for Public Power Week giveaways and free popcorn, October 3-7!

The Lowell Area Chamber Chili Cook-off where local restaurants compete for bragging rights and a trophy for the Best Chili voted on by the people! $10 wristbands go on sale, Friday October 7 from 10am to 4pm at the Chamber and again on Saturday October 8 from 11am to 1pm. Tasting begins at 1pm through 4pm or until the Chili is gone! All Chili will be located on Main Street! The Chamber is located at 113 Riverwalk Plaza, behind the Flat River Grill.
LowellArts Gallery Concert 7:00pm at LowellArts
Drew Nelson is a storytelling songwriter about the lives and journeys of those he has met, mixing Americana and roots-rock with traditional folk styles. LowellArts Gallery Concerts are presented in the LowellArts Gallery. While listening to music, enjoy the exhibition that is on display. LowellArts is located at 223 W. Main Street, Lowell, MI 49331.
